Apparently it involves big bellies… Coming soon to a theme park near you? On second thought, there is so much titillation and stereotyping in this ad, I’m no longer amused. Is this sort of thing typical in Japan

Toy Story 3 passes $1 Billion, Giving Disney Two Billion Dollar Movies in ’10

Color Bob Iger very happy. Two weeks after becoming the highest-grossing animated film of all time, Disney•Pixar’s Toy Story 3 will cross the $1 billion mark at the global box office today, joining Alice in Wonderland as the second $1 billion film this year from The Walt Disney Studios – the first studio in history to accomplish this feat. This is yet another reason the Disney purchase of Pixar was a steal.

Disney World agrees to pay clerks for unpaid work

69 current and former inventory clerks at Walt Disney World are about to get an average of $6250 richer after a settlement between them and the Disney Company. Work policies in the Food and Beverage department weren’t properly followed by managers resulting the clerks working many unpaid hours. Disney has agreed to pay $433,000 in back pay to the workers.

What SeaWorld Sells These Days

Now that SeaWorld is no longer a part of the Anheuser Busch family of theme parks, they really need to focus on exactly what it is they’re selling. Under Anheuser Busch no matter what the parks did, they were still a giant advertisement for beer. The last few months have seen a shift in the tone of material coming from SeaWorld and I think it amounts to a trend and what could be seen as a new direction from the parks.

Pixie Hollow Welcomes Vidia, New Fairy at Magic Kingdom

The popular fairy meet and greet at Walt Disney World’s Magic Kingdom has a new face. Vidia is new fairy introduced in the next Tinker Bell film – “Tinker Bell and the Great Fairy Rescue.” Guests can meet Vidia and her pixie pals — including the world’s most beloved fairy, Tinker Bell — inside Pixie Hollow.
