Fans of the hit ABC television show Extreme Makeover: Home Edition will have a chance to join in and make a difference as the show comes to Central Florida’s Brevard county to make a difference in the life of a family in need. While the family hasn’t been revealed yet, there is a public rally scheduled for Monday January 3rd, 7pm at the Kennedy Space Center. Visitors who arrive after six will get free parking and admission

The Walt Disney Company’s involvement with Toys for Tots began more than 60 years ago when Walt Disney and his animators designed the original Toys for Tots logo that is still used today. That connection continues today with a huge effort from the Walt Disney World cast members that will make the lives of thousands of kids significantly brighter this holiday season.

With Tropical Storm Bonnie passing close to southern Florida, although not currently targeting Central Florida, it’s time to check in on what you should do if Bonnie or any subsequent named storm should head a bit northward. First check the National Hurricane Center and see if your destination is in the potential path of the storm.

Kissimmee Merchants Look to Plus Hwy 192

Merchants and business owners along Highway 192 in Osceola County have finally decided to get their act together. Prior to the latest economic meltdown, I wrote about signs of life in Central Florida’s most neglected tourist region. As you might guess, those improvements have been given back and the trend points even more down hill these days.
