I love this little skit from D23 that Ricky Brigante caught and put up on youtube. It shows Disney Parks & Resorts President Tom Staggs doing a variety of cast member jobs as he takes over the position from Jay Rasulo. Quite funny, huh! It’s stuff like this that makes me think Stagg’s gets it.

A judge has dropped a lawsuit against Marvel by the heirs of Jack Kirby based on the fact that his work as part of the creation of many of Marvel’s main superheroes was done on a work-for-hire basis and therefore there is no secondary claim to copyright for the family. Last July a jury ruled against Disney and for Celador International in a case that was billed as a defeat of Hollywood style studio accounting. Disney maintains that they did not owe Celador a share of the profits in Who Wants To Be A Millionaire and plans to appeal

Although it was created mainly for the advertising industry Moat, a new search engine that scans the internet for advertisements, has some interesting potential for brand fans as well. This search for ‘ Disney ‘, for instance, reveals 230 ads from the Walt Disney Company.
