Today we welcome guest author AJ Wolfe from the Disney Food Blog to discuss the new additions and events we can expect at the Epcot International Food and Wine Festival this year. The 2011 Epcot International Food and Wine Festival will entice visitors to return (as if we need more reasons!) with new events, seminars, and menu items. The “Passport to a World of Flavors” theme this year means guests will be offered a panoply of exotic flavors and tastes from around the globe.

Dining Coupons at DL and WDW this holiday season

For the first time I can think of, you can bring a printed coupon to a Disney park restaurant and get 30% off for dining during the holidays. It’s only good during the “off” hours – clearly a way to spread out demand, and perhaps encourage sales that might otherwise not get made.

Two new Restaurants open in Downtown Disney – Pollo Campero and Fresh A-Peel

Downtown Disney must have a two-for-one special going on right now, because where they used to have one McDonalds restaurant, there are now two healthy quick service locations. The new restaurants are the first Pollo Campero location in Orlando and the first Fresh A-Peel location ever. They share the space previously occupied by Ronald and his pals.

Affect of the Disney Dining Plan on Disney Restaurants

Editor: I am very pleased to welcome guest author AJ Wolfe from the Disney Food Blog. Since the Disney Dining Plan came into effect in 2005 — and “free dining” was introduced in 2006 — there have been both cheers and groans from Disney-goers. Cheers because many folks are able to use the plan to dine differently than they ever have before in Disney World.

La Hacienda de San Angel opens at EPCOT

Completing the vision of the park’s designers, a new dining location has opened on the EPCOT lagoon that offers great food and a terrific view of the nightly water show – Illuminations. The Mexico pavilion is now host to La Hacienda de San Angel and La Cantina de San Angel – two restaurants under one roof. Overlooking World Showcase Lagoon, the lakeside house, or La Hacienda, is a 250-seat table-service restaurant, while La Cantina is a 150-seat quick-service restaurant.

Disney Online Debuts Two Cat Cora and Muppet Web Series

We saw the teaser trailer for Cat Cora and the Muppets new web series last week. Turns out it wasn’t for The Disney Channel, but rather for Disney Online and DisneyFamily.com.

Make a Disney World Dining Reservation from your Phone

Disney World has rolled out iPhone and Android compatible versions of their Dining Reservation website. Perfect for that last minute reservation when you’re away from the computer. Disney says a Blackberry version could be coming next.
