Robot Vinylmation Invades the Disney Store

The robots are coming! The robots are coming! Today, Disney Store announced the launch of its exclusive Vinylmation Robots series invading Disney Store locations nationwide and DisneyStore.com on Friday July 22nd. Disney Store artists who designed this series found their inspiration in the vintage wind-up robot toys of the 1950s. I love the retro feel of these robot vinylmation figures.

A New Direction for the Disney Store

The princess castle in the middle of the new Disney Store in London The Disney Store has made an announcement that might come as a shock. While many retailers are closing down stores left and right, Disney Store SVP Paul Gainer gave a presentation at a recent retail industry convention in Las Vegas saying that Disney plans to open 40 new stores around the world this year. Just a few years ago, about 100 Disney stores were closed domestically.

Mandy Moore models Rapunzel Singing Doll at Disney Store

Today’s celebrity sighting is singer/actress Mandy Moore, who voices Rapunzel in Disney’s Tangled, visiting the new Disney Store in Times Square to celebrate the release of the Rapunzel Disney Store Singing Doll. The doll features Moore’s a cappella voice performing “When Will My Life Begin,” Rapunzel’s signature song from the film

Largest Disney Store in North America opens in Times Square with a Celebrity Filled Event

I know we’ve had a lot of coverage of The Disney Store here on the blog recently. However, it’s a great location and a good showcase for the Walt Disney Company right on the modern day equivalent of Main Street USA, aka Times Square NYC. Therefore, I think it deserves some attention
