It really was an eye-opening amazing experience.  I remember nearly every detail of it and it informs my love of the park and Disney’s mission there. G’Day Mate! Australia coming to Disney’s Animal Kingdom

I first reported on the development of a new land at Disney’s Animal Kingdom based on the continent of Australia back in October of 2007 . It was shortly after that when the housing bubble popped for good and the house of cards banks had built on home mortgages came tumbling down threatening to take the world’s economy with it. At that point Disney turtled and postponed a number of projects until a time when the economy returned to better.

Walt Disney World Resort recently welcomed a black and white colobus monkey – the first of its species born at Disney’s Animal Kingdom. The infant arrived February 17 after a six-month gestation and may be seen along the Pangani Forest Exploration Trail with a group of five other colobus monkeys. Disney Reminds Guests to “Spring Forward” with Frog-Focused Activities

Disney’s Animal Kingdom guests will get a “leap” on this weekend’s time change with a series of frog-focused activities reminding them to set their clocks ahead. Plus they’ll get some tips on how to help preserve a ‘frog friendly’ environment to help combat their dwindling numbers.
