What to Expect at This Year’s EPCOT Food & Wine Festival

Today we welcome guest author AJ Wolfe from the Disney Food Blog to discuss the new additions and events we can expect at the Epcot International Food and Wine Festival this year. The 2011 Epcot International Food and Wine Festival will entice visitors to return (as if we need more reasons!) with new events, seminars, and menu items. The “Passport to a World of Flavors” theme this year means guests will be offered a panoply of exotic flavors and tastes from around the globe.

Disney Culinary Moms and the Wine and Cheese Plate

When I get the chance to visit one of Walt Disney World’s fancier restaurants I almost always select the Wine and Cheese tasting plate.

Tables in Wonderland – Secrets Revealed for Indiana Jones Special Event!

I used to be a Tables in Wonderland discount dining card holder, and if my finances ever allow, I will join up again. The food discounts are totally worth it if you enjoy sit-down dining at Walt Disney World’s parks and resorts. But the benefits don’t end there

Fun Finds: New Disney Candy in the Parks

For me, part of the magic of a Disney Vacation is discovering what delicious treat is available that wasn’t on my last trip. This weekend I found a whole new line of very creative Disney themed candy. I love the names and the package design that went into creating this line

Slow Motion Pizza at Via Napoli

There’s a lot of magic going on at Walt Disney World, sometimes you have to stop and slow things down to see exactly how much. Disney has just released this video that features some slo-mo footage of pizza being prepared at Via Napoli, the Patina Group restaurant that opened at EPCOT recently

Via Napoli hosts Disney’s Cuisine Queens

I’m putting this video up here not just because the Pizza from Via Napoli is so good, but because it really looks like these cast members are having a ton of fun. They ‘Cuisine Queens’ are a self-labeled group of cast members that are having fun exploring all the wonderful food and drink offerings Disney World has to offer. How would you like to be the Pizza chef at Via Napoli for a day?

No more “Noodle Station”

The Tomorrowland Terrace Noodle Station changed its menu and its name over the weekend; now it’s just called Tomorrowland Terrace, and its menu is varied rather than Asian-heavy. The souvenir guide claims there’s a separate dinner menu with orange chicken, but when we checked at nighttime, it was still the lunch menu. Maybe some point in the future?

Two new Restaurants open in Downtown Disney – Pollo Campero and Fresh A-Peel

Downtown Disney must have a two-for-one special going on right now, because where they used to have one McDonalds restaurant, there are now two healthy quick service locations. The new restaurants are the first Pollo Campero location in Orlando and the first Fresh A-Peel location ever. They share the space previously occupied by Ronald and his pals.

Editor: I am very pleased to welcome guest author AJ Wolfe from the Disney Food Blog. Since the Disney Dining Plan came into effect in 2005 — and “free dining” was introduced in 2006 — there have been both cheers and groans from Disney-goers. Cheers because many folks are able to use the plan to dine differently than they ever have before in Disney World.

Report from EPCOT Food and Wine Festival 2010

I’m very much enjoying my first day at the EPCOT International Food and Wine Festival.  The crowds have not been too bad, but it is busy. My usual strategy of hitting the food booths early didn’t work as there were already long lines by 11:05am.
