Disney to launch Children’s Magazine for Maker Kids

After hearing about Disney’s new magazine FamilyFun Kids, I was actually a bit surprised that Disney had not yet put out a magazine that taps into the growing consumer demand for projects you can do at home yourself. Families I talk with, including ours, are always looking for things they can do together that gets them away from the computer or the television and into the realm of creativity and imagination, but doesn’t have the expense of a full-fledged vacation. FamilyFun Kids appears to be targeted to that niche

In honor of my favorite holiday I’m going to look at the scariest moments in Disney movies. I’m not as well-versed in all of their live action flicks, so I’ll limit my focus to the animated features.

Four Seasons to Open at Disney World

I’ve always thought one couldn’t take a much more luxurious vacation than a Disney vacation, and if one stayed at a fancy hotel in the Disney parks, one could have everything one might possibly want.

Normally I try not to post about events at the Disney parks, especially for holidays, until right before they happen. We’re on the cusp of Halloween, so it seems silly to talk about a holiday that won’t come until a month after that.

The Epcot Food & Wine Festival is just around the corner, so that means it’s time to look at what events are on the schedule this year. The festival runs from September 30 to November 13, and you can bet that those weeks are the ones I most wish to visit Orlando.

Tokyo DisneySea

DisneySea’s Tower of Terror I’ve always wanted to write a feature about Tokyo Disneyland. It seems like the most mysterious of the Disney Parks because it’s always the one I hear about the least.

Considering Pixie Hollow

Of the few women in the Peter Pan story, I always liked Tinker Bell the best. Mrs. Darling had a one-dimensional role and Wendy came across as simple and boring (why would she want to be the mother, of all things, when she’s in the middle of a fairy tale world?).

Fun for Grown-Ups at Disney: Epcot

Given that Disney World is a family friendly park there aren’t a lot of places there that are exclusive for adults.
