New Star Tours video released

The Star Wars convention Celebration V is in Orlando this weekend and Disney has used the moment to debut a new video that teases the upcoming changes to its Star Tours attraction. The video was introduced by Imagineer Jason Surrell, and C-3PO himself, actor Anthony Daniels. Later Disney revealed that this video, or one similar to it, will be played in the queue of the new attraction

Family details complaints about Monorails in Lawsuit

Florida Today has the complaint from the family of the cast member killed in last summer’s monorail accident. From Disney’s perspective it’s a chain of bad luck that resulted in tragedy, from the family’s perspective, it’s pretty damning. In newly filed court papers, the family claims the monorail cockpit Wuennenberg was riding in had “virtually no bracing or frame support whatsoever”

Who Wants to Be A Millionaire Trial goes to Jury

I haven’t been giving this much ink here, but for the last 6 years there has been a trial underway questioning ABC/Disney’s management of the ‘Who Wants to be a Millionaire’ TV game show and how much of the profits they had to pay its creators. That case has no gone to jury. It’s a potential payout of $250 million if Disney is found to be a bad actor.

Lawsuit targets Swan & Dolphin Resort

Two Orlando resorts are being sued by workers who were contracted through a third party to work at the hotel. That third party is not able to make payroll and now the workers are looking to the hotel for their paychecks. One of the hotels is the Swan & Dolphin Resort at Walt Disney World.
