Disney characters make special trip to Japan’s Tsunami Evacuees

While Tokyo Disneyland has opened and Tokyo DisneySea draws closer to regular operations, much of northeast Japan is still dealing with the after effects of the twin earthquake and tsunami devastation. It’s nice to read a report of Disney sending some of its cast of characters out to visit the evacuation centers where many families with kids are still living: “I like Mickey a lot,” said 6-year-old Yuki Sato, a first-grade student who smiled shyly when Mickey Mouse stroked his head. “I want to go to Disneyland.” The adults were grateful that the Disney characters came by to bolster the spirits of their children

Making his post-super bowl victory pledge come true in less than 24 hours, World Champion Green Bay Packer Quarter back and Super Bowl XLV MVP Aaron Rodgers paraded with Mickey Mouse across the Magic Kingdom in Walt Disney World to the cheers of thousands of fans as they lined the route. Following the Green Bay Packers’ 31-25 victory over the Pittsburgh Steelers, Rodgers shouted “I’m Going to Disney World!” and “I’m Going to Disneyland!” for TV cameras as the star of the latest Disney Parks advertisement. Rodgers was 24 for 39 for 304 yards and threw three touchdowns in the Packers’ Super Bowl win
