Disney Legends honored at D23 Expo

By all accounts the Friday 2011 Disney Legends ceremony was the emotional highlight of the D23 Expo. From four princess voices on stage singing together, to the family of Guy Williams, and a duet between Kermit The Frog and Rowlf the Dog to honor Jim Henson, there was not a dry eye in the house. That is, of course, if you could make it into the show.

Videopolis – Part of Your World (Violin, Piano duet)

Taylor plays the violin mostly by ear and Kyle adds just the right amount of improvisational flourish to make this one of my favorite versions of The Little Mermaid’s ‘Part of Your World’ yet. That’s saying something considering the number of videos there are on youtube for the song – around 12,000.

For years, the Disneyland hotel has been the black sheep of the Disney owned hotels in Anaheim. It’s age and location left it the least desirable property of the three hotels. But the culmination of upgrades made over the last 5 years have finally paid off.

Pixie Hollow Games set for Disney Channel this fall

An all new animated special “Pixie Hollow Games” is set to premiere on the Disney Channel this fall. Popular Disney stars from “The Suite Life on Deck,” “Shake it Up!” and more provide the voices along with Broadway actress Megan Hilty (Wicked, 9 to 5.) Art of Animation Family Suites Unveiled

We’ve been drooling over the concept art and watching construction of the Art of Animation Resort for a long time. Now, thanks to the Disney Parks blog, we get to see some interior rooms for the first time. The Art of Animation resort is first non-DVC resort to open at Walt Disney World in a long time, so excitement is understandable.
