Orlando is no longer thought of as solely the house of the mouse; since the boy wizard set up shop up International Drive, people have begun to take notice that Universal has a terrific staff of creative developers of its own. That shouldn’t be a shock since many of them got their start in Walt Disney Imagineering, but fell victim to the budget cut blade over the years.

Dave Stevenson: The Art of the Map – A New Exhibition at The Walt Disney Family Museum To Run from September 15, 2010 – January 3, 2011 Special map of The Presidio of San Francisco created for the exhibit When The Walt Disney Family Museum in the Presidio of San Francisco was looking for a way to illustrate the ancestry and family roots of Walt Disney, they turned to an imaginative Bay Area artist and mapmaker named Dave Stevenson.

This week marks the 55th anniversary of Disneyland’s grand opening (either the 17th or 18th of July depending on how you’re counting). The park itself is doing something around Merchandise , the Disneyana Fan Club is having a convention , and, not to be left out, the Walt Disney Family Museum is having two days of events.

With all the new DVC Resorts, what does WDW need to do? A few weeks ago during a quarterly results call Disney CEO Bob Iger seemed to imply that once the Magic Kingdom’s new Fantasyland is done and California Adventure’s remake is complete that will be the end of major projects for the parks, at least for a while.

The Five Biggest Needs at Walt Disney World

With all the new DVC Resorts, what does WDW need to do? A few weeks ago during a quarterly results call Disney CEO Bob Iger seemed to imply that once the Magic Kingdom’s new Fantasyland is done and California Adventure’s remake is complete that will be the end of major projects for the parks, at least for a while. I’m not sure he’s taking into account the long list of work that needs to be done.
