With another national holiday just around the corner, it’s time again to look at the special events going on at the Disney Parks. Last year I highlighted what went down in Orlando for July 4. I thought I would switch things up this year and focus on the events in Anaheim.

ESPN RISE Girls Showcase Inaugural Event Coming to ESPN WWOS in June

This June America’s top female athletes will compete in a multi-sport festival at the ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex at Walt Disney World.

SeaWorld and National Geographic turn Shark Encounter into School Lesson

Last week SeaWorld Orlando became a virtual classroom as more than 157,000 students from more than 3,500 schools from across the nation, including more than 100 in Florida, interacted with a National Geographic filmmaker and a SeaWorld shark expert. The live webcast and Q-and-A session took place in front of a backdrop of dozens of sharks at the park’s Shark Encounter attraction. The “virtual assembly” was an opportunity for students to expand their knowledge of wildlife, science and filmmaking with famed National Geographic filmmaker Andy Casagrande

As a mother of two boys and also having become a travel agent, I have learnt the importance of a value packed vacation with great opportunity for site seeing, endless hours of natural beauty and perfect moments spent with all my boys - My husband, my kids and my pets ( All males ) Knowing how important it is to take that much needed break with loved ones regardless of the economy - I thought it might be advantagous to pull together a list of what I feel are the top family destinations within the United States.  I also compiled a list of the top National Parks in the country for your enjoyment as well. After all, regardless of the economy - we all need a vacation right?  Given money is tighter than normal, these best bets that are below may suffice for this next summer’s vacation.  They provide an opportunity for a cross country adventure by car alleviating the extra expense of an airline ticket
