After the commercial success of the re-release of The Lion King in 3D , it is no surprise that Disney made plans to release more of their movies in a new view. In fact, four beloved Disney movies will make their way back to the silver screen, this time in 3D. ( Two Disney Pixar, and two Disney Animation Studios movies to be exact .) Here is the trailer for Beauty and the Beast 3D, which will hit theatres January 13, 2012

October Dedication event for LEGOLAND, Florida Coming hot on the heels of their second US theme park, Merlin Entertainments Group Ltd and GCDS Corporation just announced the selection of Nagoya, Japan as the preferred location for the seventh LEGOLAND park. Pending negotiations and permitting to operate LEGOLAND Japan within Nagoya city limits, the family theme park could open as early as 2015. Holiday Version of “The Magic, The Memories, and You” Wows at Disney World

Disney Lobbies to Prevent Las Vegas Style Gambling in Florida, Why Are People Shocked?

There is a big article in the Orlando Sentinel regarding Disney’s efforts to lobby the state for items it sees as beneficial to tourism in Central Florida. One of those items is a push to keep Las Vegas style casinos out of Florida, a trend which Disney sees as shifting the focus of travel away from families (Disney’s bread and butter) and toward twenty-somethings (a market for which Disney has very little to offer)
