While I’m not at Walt Disney World today, I was yesterday. The weather was brutal. Unseasonably hot and muggy with guests (myself included) stumbling around looking for hydration.

Music added to Magic Kingdom’s Space Mountain

All the usual suspects made their way to the Magic Kingdom on Monday evening once word leaked that Disney Imagineers had turned on the newly added background music soundtrack to Space Mountain. Instead of adding speakers to the cars, they’ve worked after hours, when the attraction was closed, to add speakers at certain spots along the track to give riders more of a surround sound experience. I haven’t had a chance to ride it myself, but the general feeling is that this is a good improvement

What will 2009 bring to Walt Disney World?

As I sit back and think about the year that was 2008, it makes me wonder how 2009 will develop. I am particularly curious about what will happen to my favorite place on Earth in 2009. Given the slow economy, I am not as optimistic about big changes as I might typically be, however, we can all dream.
