The NFL Goes to the Disney Institute

It’s not been a good year for the National Football League. I don’t follow the sport at all, but even I know they faced a players’ strike just before the 2011 season was supposed to launch, and that anything to do with the Super Bowl, besides the football itself, has been under fire recently.

Pop Warner Super Bowl signs 10 year deal to play at ESPN WWOS Complex

Ken Potrock, Senior VP of Disney Sports Enterprises, and Jon Butler, Executive Director of Pop Warner Little Scholars, pose with Mickey Mouse and two Pop Warner athletes at ESPN WWOS. (Gene Duncan, photographer) For players and families of Pop Warner football, a new 10 year deal with Disney to host the Super Bowl and other games at the ESPN Wide World of Sports complex is a great deal. It means potential national exposure, plus access to all the fun that ESPN WWOS and Disney World provides.

Dancing with the Stars: Season 12 Preview

The Dancing with the Stars Season 12 premiere is just over a week away, and I don’t know about you, but I got pretty excited when I saw this year’s cast announcement. While there’s an unfortunate lack of Olympians, there are also no political figures, soap stars, or token oldies.
