“Small Fry” preview, Pixar short to run with Beauty & The Beast 3-D Theatrical Release

After the success of The Lion King 3D in theaters, Disney is expanding the run of Beauty and the Beast 3D as well. That’s good news for sure. Beauty and the Beast was my ‘renaissance’ film and re-ignited my love for Disney animation.

John Lasseter on BBC talks about Making Animated Films and Toy Story 4 Rumors

There’s a 2 minute video over on the BBC website with John Lasseter, director of Pixar’s Cars 2 and studio animation chief, talking about the process of making an animated film. Nothing new there really, but interesting how he compares it to ‘live action’ film making. The clip is also notable for a brief deflection by Lasseter when asked about Toy Story 4, as announced by Tom Hanks.

Disney Oscar Nominees

Congrats to the team at Pixar Studios for their Best Picture nod for “Toy Story 3.” That’s a great accomplishment, even if the category was recently expanded to 10 contenders. Michael Arndt, John Lasseter, Andrew Stanton and Lee Unkrich were also nominated for Best Adapted Screenplay for TS3.

Does Toy Story 3 Have A Chance at Best Picture Oscar

The Walt Disney Company continues to march ahead with its promotional campaign to win the Best Picture Academy Award for Pixar’s Toy Story 3. John Lasseter on Toy Story Playland at Paris Disneyland Resort

A video from DLRPfans.be (Belgium I believe) of John Lasseter talking about Toy Story Playland addition to the Walt Disney Studios park at Disneyland Paris Resort This is the first time I’ve seen footage from the new land. It’s interesting how these off the shelf rides are so much better themed than what was originally built at California Adventure (or Dinoland at DAK, take your pick). Probably not that much more expensive to do it right the first time

Interesting Toy Story Midway Mania Rumor

There have been more than a small number of complaints that the Disney’s Hollywood Studios attraction Toy Story Midway Mania went down for maintenance right in the middle of summer. Not just that, but with Toy Story 3 still raking in big bucks at the box office, you would expect the attraction to be open for guests to experience a little of that synergy Disney is so famous for. So there must be a very good reason for it to be down right now
