When I was a kid Imagineers were this pretty much unknown class of people who worked behind the scenes but never revealed how the magic was made. Well, they’re still not opening up their book of tricks, but they have come out from behind the curtain and are more involved in sharing the details of the works they create.

Yesterday was Administrative Professional Appreciation day. Back in the day that was called Secretaries day. The Walt Disney Family Museum has the most comprehensive piece on Walt’s Secretaries I’ve ever read.

In 1926 Walt Disney was just trying to make his way in Hollywood. He would take whatever jobs he could get, including one from a Dentist back in Kansas City who wanted a short film he could show to encourage tooth-brushing and good dental hiegene
