With the success of The Lion King 3D, Disney’s 3-D conversion factory (we kid) will be working overtime to pump out four new conversions for limited theatrical 3D engagements. Disney Oscar Nominees

Congrats to the team at Pixar Studios for their Best Picture nod for “Toy Story 3.” That’s a great accomplishment, even if the category was recently expanded to 10 contenders. Michael Arndt, John Lasseter, Andrew Stanton and Lee Unkrich were also nominated for Best Adapted Screenplay for TS3.

Tangled Brushes On A Box Office Win

After winning the week, Tangled has also come in number one at the Box Office beating Harry Potter and a weak newcomer over a slower weekend.

Toy Story 3 – Disney’s Circle Seven Version

Think back to the days when there was a real possibility that Pixar would leave the Disney family due to bad feelings created when executives at Disney attempted to push the boys from Emeryville around. It was pretty touch and go there for awhile, but Disney execs felt they held a trump card that would bring Pixar back to the negotiation table no matter how hard they pushed. That trump card was the rights to produce a third Toy Story film apart from Pixar.

New image from Tangled revealed – Mother Gothel

A newly released first image of Mother Gothel (voiced by Donna Murphy) from Disney’s next feature animated film, Tangled, has just been released. Be sure to follow the film’s Facebook fan page where even more artwork from the film has been released. Tangled weaves its way into theaters beginning November 24, 2010 (probably sooner in NY and LA although I haven’t seen an official announcement)
